The Walk for THE WALK Tour is a walk
across America from Malibu, California
to Washington, D.C. taking the design for
a liner museum of American History
called: THE WALK to the public.
This project is to introduce this new
design for an American History Museum
to the American public. The 3800+ mile
walk should also allow people to
understand that we do not
believe it will be an easy project, but
that it is possible to do difficult things
when the desire is there, and like the
history of this continent and this nation,
The Walk has been filled with bright
moments, exhillerating adventures
and some set backs. Each of these
has added to what we are as a nation
and who we are as a people.
The reporter is from CNN the Representative
is from Mass. He spent some time speaking
about Health Care: the topic of the day
for most of those on the mall and about
the Capitol. As reflected by the news,
there are those who seek civility and earnest
debate and those who have made up their
minds and hope only to preserve their
views through the volume of the rhetoric.

Across America for
The American History Museum
This is what leaders do. Leaders who have the experience of war. They
stand where
the full of the battle can be seen clearly and guide those in the fray.
This requires
a great faith in the actions of one and the other.
This sculpture, in front the the Capitol became fresh for me today.
The bugler makes certain the entire group understands what direction
they are to go.
The passion reflected on their faces were clear.
My eyes made their way down and I saw this horse falling beneath into
the dirt
as the rush of hoves pounded about him. The rider with one hand clutching
his mounts neck.
There was the fallen rider -- his face not in panic, nor fear. His eyes
and the language
of his body reflected his determination to still move foreward. There
is not element
of surrender to be found. That is our history.
I got to spend some time with several of our Representatives, including
Jeff Miller,
who took time to come out to take this photo with me on the steps of
the Capitol.
He returned to the floor and I made my way to the Gallery.
On a less important day, this would have been at the top of the page.
This regal
lion is one of four that maintain watch over the mall.
I had to include at least on picture of something normal. This little
guy paused a
moment and then rushed to dig up and nut and run back into the tree.
Cheif Washakie, who so impressed our nation's leadership, his image
was placed
on a version of our currency.
This is Oreo, who can stop drop and roll at the word FIRE.

This site follows us as we make our way along America's
roads and highways, but this project is about raising awareness for
a linear museum of American History called: The
Walk.
The project is about one individual and then another:
not one more important than the next, but each a link in the chain we
call "America."
Millions of stories that should never be forgotten, perhaps preventing
some future American from making their mistakes, or leading the next
generation to a brighter future.
Our future is not written in stone. It never was. This nation was not left to us as a gift. It was left to us as a challenge. We can do no more. We should do no less.
I hope you enjoy looking
at these pages. Maybe
return to our beginning
and walk with us,
enjoy the things we saw
and maybe laugh at some
of the things we did.
Some suggest we have
lost our minds. Maybe.
