The Walk for THE WALK Tour is a walk
across America from Malibu, California
to Washington, D.C. taking the design for
a liner museum of American History
called: THE WALK to the public.
This project is to introduce this new
design for an American History Museum
to the American public. The 3800+ mile
walk should also allow people to
understand that we do not
believe it will be an easy project, but
that it is possible to do difficult things
when the desire is there, and like the
history of this continent and this nation,
The Walk has been filled with bright
moments, exhillerating adventures
and some set backs. Each of these
has added to what we are as a nation
and who we are as a people.
JOURNAL ENTRY
I spent time with so many people in Goodland,
I didn't want to exclude the moment spent
with this Captain of the Kit Carson County
Sheriff's Dept. He and I shared a moment
and discovered we both had Kit Carson as
a childhood hero.
Life is so short, it is sad we have so little
time to spend learning about what others
do as we rush about our own lives.
This VFW Post was very nearly elegant. We didn't
have the opportunity to meet with any of the members but Holly, the
Restuarant Manager said she would pass along our cards and information.
This scale model of Goodland in years gone by is on exhibit at their
Museum.
The number of exhibits in the Goodland Museum was a hugh surprise!
The museum from the outside was huge, but the quality and quantity of
the items on display as well as their presentation was stunning!
This area of the museum allowed young people to learn the arts and crafts
seen in the Museum.
This young photographer was captivated by these great wooden animals.
This mother took her daughters to a gathering of 20 women who had children
in
May of 2000. While they had never seen each other, they had been online
friends
for nine years. The children got along famously!
Noel, a CPA had his 70th Birthday while I was walking by. I stuck my
head in the
door and said, "HONK!" After a very brief, but nice visit,
I had to continue my
journey down the road.

This site follows us as we make our way along America's roads and highways, but this project is about raising awareness for a linear museum of American History called: The Walk.
The project is about one individual and then another: not one
more important than the next, but each a link in the chain we call "America."
Millions of stories that should never be forgotten, perhaps preventing
some future American from making their mistakes, or leading the next
generation to a brighter future.
Our future is not written in stone. It never was. This nation was not left to us as a gift. It was left to us as a challenge. We can do no more. We should do no less.
I hope you enjoy looking

return to our beginning
and walk with us,
enjoy the things we saw
and maybe laugh at some
of the things we did.
Some suggest we have
lost our minds. Maybe.

that question, I am forced
