The Walk for THE WALK Tour is a walk
across America from Malibu, California
to Washington, D.C. taking the design for
a liner museum of American History
called: THE WALK to the public.

This project is to introduce this new
design for an American History Museum
to the American public. The 3800+ mile
walk should also allow people to
understand that we do not
believe it will be an easy project, but
that it is possible to do difficult things
when the desire is there, and like the
history of this continent and this nation,
The Walk has been filled with bright
moments, exhillerating adventures
and some set backs. Each of these
has added to what we are as a nation
and who we are as a people.
I stopped at a Quilting Shop and was
happy to wait while Karen's husband
brought her quilt to show you.

This Dorothy is posed beneath
the display of Judy Garland's
Dress. Really, they had enough
exhibits to take up triple the
space.

I looked at the pumpkin
and was surprised to see
how closely it looks like
Jack, from the Nighmare
before Christmas. (I guess that
would be the other way around.)

Jennifer Schermerhorn showed
me into this shop, with Lucy
and Marilyn standing in.
It says something about where
a shop is located when they
carry yarn and spinning wheels.

WALK ACROSS AMERICA: PHOTO ALBUM PAGES

These turtles were swimming in BLUE RIVER... which is not really very blue.

Leaving Manhattan, it was more emerald fields than Emerald City.

These are the faces of those greeting visitors to the Emerald City...
Much more friendly than their movie counterparts.

The exhibits inside the museum are worth far more than the fee to get inside!

I liked the dioramas surrounding each of the OZ characters.

I have seen many versions of OZ characters. The OZ Museum is by far the best,
not to mention, more autographed photos than I could count.

I loved this quilt, but wandering about the shop and seeing all of the OZ patterns
in the fabric was just as special. It would have been nice to have a budget for
such things.

The Good Witch was placed in the light, the Wicked Witch is... well, you really
have to visit to see her.

This couple seemed as happy; as I was, to be here.

Brooke Balderson poured us a taste from the OZ Winery. They had a selection
of wines for everyone: from the serious wine lover to wine and movie lovers.

The front of the Winery is as colorful as the Movie!

This site follows us as we make our way along America's roads and highways, but this project is about raising awareness for a linear museum of American History called: The Walk.

A couple walking
around the OZ
Museum.

The project is about one individual and then another: not one more important than the next, but each a link in the chain we call "America."
Millions of stories that should never be forgotten, perhaps preventing some future American from making their mistakes, or leading the next generation to a brighter future.

Our future is not written in stone. It never was. This nation was not left to us as a gift. It was left to us as a challenge. We can do no more. We should do no less.

I hope you enjoy looking
at these pages. Maybe
return to our beginning
and walk with us,
enjoy the things we saw
and maybe laugh at some
of the things we did.
Some suggest we have
lost our minds. Maybe.

May just ask if they
can help us. When I hear
that question, I am forced
to admit, "Many people hope you can."
