The Faces Exhibit will be made of portraits
on tiles creating a Wall of men and women
who have been killed in combat. The Faces
Exhibit will be constructed in San Antonio, Tx.

The Walk for THE WALK Tour is a walk
across America from Malibu, California
to Washington, D.C. taking the design for
a liner museum of American History
called: THE WALK to the public.

This project is to introduce this new
design for an American History Museum
to the American public. The 3800+ mile
walk should also allow people to
understand that we do not
believe it will be an easy project, but
that it is possible to do difficult things
when the desire is there, and like the
history of this continent and this nation,
The Walk has been filled with bright
moments, exhillerating adventures
and some set backs. Each of these
has added to what we are as a nation
and who we are as a people.

 

There were art horses everywhere, each
more interesting than the next.

In keeping with the art cars, this man
traveled the sidewalks in his art
mouse - perhaps a bike?

Children loved it.
Parents were amused.
Dogs confused!

TRAVEL - Walking Across America for
The American History Museum

Anna welcomed me in a cheery voice as I walked into this gallery.
I left with a talking stick. Visit this center when you can. Here's
a link.

As I was leaving New Albany, I saw this nice memorial in front of the local
Police Station.

I followed a path that led to this trail by following a map drawn out by the owner
of Destinations Book Shop. It turned out to be a great walk!

I was told the trail might be difficult to follow. These words proved true, but with
water on either side of this path, it really wasn't that bad.

The path opened up again, then followed between two ponds.


I placed my foot near the edge to show the size of the area washed out by the
recent rains -- about seven feet. A quick jump across and I was on my way, once
again.

Right where my map showed, this abandoned railroad bridge came into sight
and I walked carefully across to the other side.

Walking through Louisville, Kentucky, Natt and I walked by the largest bat I have
ever seen. The picture on the left shows how high it rises above the building.

The car show features hundreds, maybe thousands of cars. Historical and Art
Cars. Too many to post all I photographed here.

This site follows us as we make our way along America's roads and highways, but this project is about raising awareness for a linear museum of American History called: The Walk.

The project is about one individual and then another: not one more important than the next, but each a link in the chain we call "America."
Millions of stories that should never be forgotten, perhaps preventing some future American from making their mistakes, or leading the next generation to a brighter future.

Our future is not written in stone. It never was. This nation was not left to us as a gift. It was left to us as a challenge. We can do no more. We should do no less.

I hope you enjoy looking
at these pages. Maybe
return to our beginning
and walk with us,
enjoy the things we saw
and maybe laugh at some
of the things we did.
Some suggest we have
lost our minds. Maybe.

that question, I am forced
