TRAVEL - Walking
Across America for
The American History Museum

This area of Kentucky is surrounded by stunning horse farms. This one
was
Conundrum... It seemed to stretch out forever with some very happy horses
that had more than enough room to run and prance.

I suspect, when it was built, this stable was more than any horse could
hope for.

Today, what looks to be a mansion from a distance, proved to be a stable.
Actually, it proved to be one of several matchin stables on this farm.

This was one of several black cows that were cooling off in an algae
coated
pond.

I passed more than horses and cows on this day. This was the first Tobacco
I passed on this walk. The yellow, from a distance, made the field seem
like it was
covered with sunflowers.

Still, the theme of the day seemed to be horse farms. It made the journey
a pleasant
one.

I couldn't believe this site. It is the Post Kentucky Castle. I didn't
seen any
knights, but they shouldn't be far away, and night is nearing.

Aoibheall; with her smiling Irish face, greeted me as I visited a small
shop in Lexington. I thought she shoud be able to greet you, as well.

If the green of the grass doesn't have you standing in awe, the beauty
of these
horses will.

These horses were standing along the horizen, as if just for me...

This provides the view I had of these horses. It is interesting to me,
just how much
land these horses have to run about. It is a pretty plush life.

The Rivers in Kentucky seem to have les traffic than those in Missouri..
but then
Freeways everywhere have different traffic at 5PM than they do at 5AM.
Maybe it is just the times I go by.
