The Walk for THE WALK Tour is a walk
across America from Malibu, California
to Washington, D.C. taking the design for
a liner museum of American History
called: THE WALK to the public.
This project is to introduce this new
design for an American History Museum
to the American public. The 3800+ mile
walk should also allow people to
understand that we do not
believe it will be an easy project, but
that it is possible to do difficult things
when the desire is there, and like the
history of this continent and this nation,
The Walk has been filled with bright
moments, exhillerating adventures
and some set backs. Each of these
has added to what we are as a nation
and who we are as a people.
TRAVEL - Walking
Across America for
The American History Museum
It was surprising to find such a great trail so close to Washington,
D.C. It closely
followed HWY 29-50.
The trail went into a series of curves that is really great for someone
on a bicycle
but I found myself walking across the grass.
The trail moved through some tall trees, across a bridge and then back
to the
highway.
Beside the trail I discovered a bumble bee that appeared to be trapped
by this
flower. I freed his leg from the twig that seemed to have him trapped
but he
remained still except for a tiny move of his legs. I moved him slightly
and he
tried to fly... he was just too fat. I have never seen a bumble bee
as fat as this.
I have given cards to more than a thousand people... with the words,
I have walked
from Malibu, Calfifornia to here to bring you this card. I hope you

site. Dawn (the lady pictured here) responded, "I moved here from
Arizone two
years ago and came here today just to get your card." What a great
response that was!
I love the wings of this butterfly. It reminds me of the wings on the
planes flown by
the Blue Angels.
This caboose rests at a school. What kid wouldn't want to have a caboose
at
school!

This site follows us as we make our way along America's
roads and highways, but this project is about raising awareness for
a linear museum of American History called: The
Walk.
The project is about one individual and then another:
not one more important than the next, but each a link in the chain we
call "America."
Millions of stories that should never be forgotten, perhaps preventing
some future American from making their mistakes, or leading the next
generation to a brighter future.
Our future is not written in stone. It never was. This nation was not left to us as a gift. It was left to us as a challenge. We can do no more. We should do no less.

return to our beginning
and walk with us,

and maybe laugh at some
of the things we did.

lost our minds. Maybe.
