The Walk for THE WALK Tour is a walk
across America from Malibu, California
to Washington, D.C. taking the design for
a liner museum of American History
called: THE WALK to the public.
This project is to introduce this new
design for an American History Museum
to the American public. The 3800+ mile
walk should also allow people to
understand that we do not
believe it will be an easy project, but
that it is possible to do difficult things
when the desire is there, and like the
history of this continent and this nation,
The Walk has been filled with bright
moments, exhillerating adventures
and some set backs. Each of these
has added to what we are as a nation
and who we are as a people.

Heroes everywhere on this grand day.
This gentleman stood in front of the flags for
a quick picture for a friend.

Some birds can sleep through anything. The
bustle of the mall meant nothing to this
duck.
This vicious guard dog nearly raised its
eyebrow as I came into a shop along
Clarendon Street.

TRAVEL - Walking
Across America for
The American History Museum

The perfect day and the perfect walk to get to Washington, D.C. from
Virginia
.
This Marine Helicopter flew very low over the bridge as Natt and I walked
toward Washington. I hope the pilots like this shot! It was sort of
like a
mini-airshow!
Washington, D.C. is a Memorial City for many reasons, including these
guarding
the Memorial Bridge.

I was told we would find nothing but squirrels in Washington. They were
wrong
but we did find some.

The wind was providing us with a great view of all the flags spread
across the mall.

Natt and I were very pleased to find this decorated Veteran. I asked
who won
the bet on whether or not he could still get into his uniform. He, very
matter of
factly replied, "I did!"

I spend a lot of time around the Lincoln Memorial when I visit Washington.
He always seems genuinely concerned about what is going on... then...
and now.

I never tire of seeing this statue. Three men, representing so many.
So wonderfully.

This man was a member of UDT 8. The quiet men of UDT led the way for
today's SEALs. It was an honor to meet him.

This memorial gave me an erie feeling as I noticed how similar the faces
on each
figure. It just seem erie.

The passion reflected in this sculpture was created for those who showed
such passion
in life.

Natasha and Cristina came from Russia to visit Washington. The right
picture
in front of the Capital is always important.

Natt's Myspace
This site follows us as we make our way along America's
roads and highways, but this project is about raising awareness for
a linear museum of American History called: The
Walk.
The project is about one individual and then another:
not one more important than the next, but each a link in the chain we
call "America."
Millions of stories that should never be forgotten, perhaps preventing
some future American from making their mistakes, or leading the next
generation to a brighter future.
Our future is not written in stone. It never was. This
nation was not left to us as a gift. It was left to us as a challenge.
We can do no more. We should do no less.
I hope you enjoy looking
at these pages. Maybe
return to our beginning
and walk with us,
enjoy the things we saw
and maybe laugh at some
of the things we did.
Some suggest we have
lost our minds. Maybe.
May just ask if they
can help us. When I hear
that question, I am forced
to admit, "Many people hope you can."

The Faces Exhibit will be made of portraits
on tiles creating a Wall of men and women
who have been killed in combat. The Faces
Exhibit will be constructed in San Antonio, Tx.

We began in California,
walked to Washington
only to find ourselves
back in California...
I guess that is to say,
we were glancing
at California
from the back.
