I must give great thanks to Intracoastal
Outfitters of Pensacola for the shoes
I am wearing as well as their GREAT
support for this project. The shoes
are amazingly comfortable!
Thanks!

The First Day!

Steven walked out into the water
to begin this Walk for The Walk.

The project detailed at: http://brickwalk.org is designed
to create a linear Museum of American History that stretches
more than 180 miles.

POST 283
Amid chaos, sometimes true
heroism is displayed. We
arrived at the American Legion
Post to find everyone willing to
give 200% to make us feel at
home.
We salute and thank our
brothers at Post 283!

A baby seal waddled into the water as Steven and Natt came
close, then followed them as they walked along the shore. It would peek above the foam, then duck beneath the seas playing hide and seek for more than a mile.

Pensacola and our Summary

THE WALK BEGINS!

The first day of The Walk for The Walk began with Steven getting his shoes wet
in the Pacific Ocean.

Natt watches the surfers waiting for the right wave but remains true to his decision
to walk across America in his own footsteps.

D.Anson wanted to see hippies helping a beached whale back out into the ocean
but settled for knowing baby seals can scurry back into the water on thier own.

.
A rose is a rose is a rose.

Natt and Steven walked through a park on their way to the American Legion Hall.
This is a wonder place to visit!

OUR TOUR DATES
California and Nevada - Arizona and Utah - Colorado -- Kansas -- Missouri
Illinois -- Indiana -- Kentucky -- West Virginia
Virginia and Washington, D.C.

As we sat in The Coffee Bean
& Tea Leaf in the Palisades,
California, we came to know several poets. I am including;
on this page, a poem by
Alden Marin

Then Inscribed Slate

Tonight
Nothing is
As it seems ---
And you can go
From there
On a bedrock
Of uncertainty --
Your choice
To replace
The burnt-out bulb
Or sit in
Self-made dark
Including the images
That hurt and perplex
The most - "Why
Did I do that,
Put three and not five flowers
In the vase? Why
Did I eat only half
The banana and leave
The rest to rot
Conspiciously?
Why is understanding
Murky in the clear
Sunlit afternoon?"
Like that archaeology dig
In Navada, years back
When the found
The 3,000-year-old
Inscribed slate
Which made
The evening news
But nobody knew
What it meant.
